Hard to believe but this football season is nearly over, lucky for all of us football fans that the bowl season is still remaining. The 2009-2010 Bowl season has some very compelling matchups all the way thru the National Championship Game. The betting lines have been released and are below with the dates of all the bowls with the matchups. As always the games that draw the most attention and betting action can be found in the BCS games and this year will be no different. Today we will give you those BCS dates and lines to remember, but stay tuned in the next few days we will cover all the other bowl games. Friday January 1st, 2010 Rose Bowl: Oregon Ducks -3.5 vs Ohio State Buckeyes A classic defense from the boring Big Ten Conference verse the high powered offense from the PAC 10. Ohio State has not won a BCS game in what seems like forever and many years this type of team have given them fits will be interesting to see which style wins out in this game. Sugar Bowl: Cincinnati Bearcats vs Florida Gators -10.5 The Big East Champs and explosive offense of the Bearcats goes up against the best defense in the country. The Gators also are looking to send out possible the best college football player ever Tim Tebow on a good note. The Cincinnati defense has been horrible the last 5 games and the Bearcats might need to score 30 plus to have a chance in this one. Monday January 4th, 2010 Fiesta Bowl: TCU Horned Frogs -8 vs Boise State Broncos Two BCS busters have made the big time, this is a repeat of last years Poinsetta Bowl which TCU won in a very close game. Expect this to be a lower scoring game than maybe any Boise State game in recent history as TCU's great defense is for real. Boise is known for trick plays and they might need a few tricks of their sleeve to pull another BCS upset. Tuesday January 5th, 2010 Orange Bowl: Iowa Hawkeyes vs Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets -3.5 Possibly the game that will be tossed aside by the average fan, but not by the bettors. These two teams could not be more different and this come down to a battle of wills. The Yellow Jackets triple option is the best running attack in all of football but Iowa has one of the best running defenses. The weakness of the Yellow Jackets has been their defense that has given up over 30 points this year in over half of their games. Might not be a classic orange bowl but for a bettor a ton of betting value if you are on the right side. Thursday January 7th, 2010 BCS National Championship Game: Texas Longhorns vs Alabama -5 Alabama might be the team coming into their bowl game in the best state of mind after destroying previously #1 ranked Florida. Alabama seems to have fixed their early season passing game woes and now have a balanced run pass offense. Of course the Nick Saban teams always have great defenses and this might be his best ever he says. On the other side we find a Texas team that no one really knows what to make of them. A down year in the Big 12 and a struggling year from a once dominant offense has everyone scratching their heads. As a bettor if you have figured out what to do with Texas you can really clean up to end this year in college football.
