Bruins at Devils: NHL Free Winner 3/15/10

By: CTS Guest Capper     Date: Mar 15, 2010
Print Article

College Baketball is taking a breather tonight before the NIT starts on Tuesday and the NCAA Big Dance starts Thursday. NHL and NBA has tonight to itself and we have a free Hockey winner for all of you. Back is our Guest Hockey Handicapper George Pappas. As always George has been rolling with hockey winners at over a 60% clip over the past month.

Today George Pappas of Hot Sports Plays .com is looking to the Boston Bruins at New Jersey Devils for his free selection for Monday.

Free Hockey Pick: Devils ML -165 ( 5 units)

Boston is the WORST offensive team in the league in just 2.5 goals per game. Boston is also 2nd last in the league in power play chances, 3.3 per game. As for Boston's starting goaltender tonight, Tim Thomas gets the call. He is not what he used to be, he is very shaky. Boston's backup goalie, Rask IMO is a much better goaltender with a lot of potential.

The Devils are the toughest team to score on in the league, just 2.5 goals per game. And they give up the fewest power play chances on the league, just 3.1 per game. With these two stats, the Bruins dont stand a chance in this game, expecially on the Devils home ice.

After that defeat to the Islanders, expect the Devils to come out BIG in this game and make a statement. Kovalchuk, acquired from Atlanta on Feb. 4, scored his 36th goal of the season Friday, and he has five goals and five assists in his last eight games. He has two goals and three assists in three games against the Bruins this season, but he was still with the Thrashers for each of those contests.

The Devils, 8-3-0 against the Bruins since April 1, 2007, won at Boston in down-to-the-wire fashion in both meetings this season
