Two huge College Football games on the Labor Day holiday. Today we will look at the Big East match up between Cincinnati and Rutgers. The Cincinnati Bearcats have taken the Big East by storm and have done very well against Rutgers going 3-1 verse them so far. The Bearcats lose a ton of starters off last years Orange Bowl team, but Coach Brian Kelly still expects this years team to challenge for a Big East title. Offensively the Bearcats have back all there top skilled position players and all the left side of the line. QB Tony Pike is healthy and many think him and WR Gillyard will be one of the best tandems in the country this year. Coach Kelly is an offensive genius and he will have the offense ready to roll for game one. Defense is another story for the Bearcats as they lose all but one starter. Good news is Cincinnati has several Defensive Lineman that played a good backup roll last year. This defense has been good for the last 5 years and the backups will step in and be very solid.

The season opener comes with a ton of questions for the Scarlet Knights. On both sides of the ball this team has lost a ton of players. The main problem will come on offense as they have 2 QB's who will share time but neither have any experience. The top weapons at WR are also missing from the 2008 team. The offensive line will be solid and the trio of returning RB's should keep them moving the ball. Defensively Rutgers has lost a few key players in the secondary but the Defensive line is intact and should be very good. The young secondary better hope the front 7 can put pressure on Cincinnati as they are definitely better on the edges.

Not respect is being shown for the best team in the Big East last year and think this will have Cincinnati motivated to prove everyone wrong. Also the Bearcats have the much better offensive unit and an athletic defense that will be able to hold there own.
