Craig's Daytona 500 Free Winner and Breakdown

Very exciting speed week in Daytona thus far. The lack of off season testing has left many teams and drivers very unsure about the big race. Craig already has looked at several of the longshot drivers that have great value to win the Daytona 500. Today Craig will give you his winning team and driver and give you a breakdown of how he sees the race.

Craig really thinks that the winner will come from one of the Hendrick drivers. With returning three time series champion Jimmy Johnson we also have teammates Earnhardt Jr, Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon. Martin, Gordon and Earnhardt are really motivate and hungry for a better season than last year, Both Gordon and Earnhardt Jr. are skilled restrictor-plate drivers who know how to end up in the top ten. Hendrick engines also perform brilliantly at Daytona. So it all boils down to which driver wants it more. My money is on Dale Jr. He really could use a great start to the Nascar 2009 season, and Daytona would be that great start.

Earnhardt Jr. and team have always shows that they are great at restrictor plate races and always gets thru the big wrecks at Daytona. Also will help that his teammates are all solid and drafting help late in the race will most likely come from one of them. If that help was not enough he always hooks up with Tony Stewart and those two nose to tail are unbeatable. Jr is 7-1 in the latest odds which is a gift if Earnhardt Jr stays out of harms way early.
