This is part two of our MLB interleague betting articles. The first article looked at the overall interleague records since the inception of interleague play in 1997. Today we will just look at the overall records since 2008 so we can see which teams have had the most success in recent years.
TOP 5 Interleague Records Since 2008
1. Minnesota Twins (28-11)- Helped by a favorable schedule in recent years but still very impressive win percentage.
2. Tampa Bay Rays (27-12)- By far the hottest team since 2008 and this coming weekend they face cross state rivals Florida Marlins.
3. Los Angeles Angels (25-14)- Historically a very good interleague record but started only 1-2 this year.
4. Chicago White Sox (25-14)- Should get really good value as they face off against the Cubs at Wrigley this weekend.
5. Boston Red Sox (24-15)- Should do very well this weekend as they face the struggling Phillies this weekend.
Worst 5 Interleague Records Since 2008
30. Philadelphis Phillies (10-29)- Hard to believe that the best team in the National league the last three years is this bad against the AL.
29. San Diego Padres (10-26)- Huge surprise this year might draw big value on a hot team right now.
28. Cleveland Indians (12-27)- Jacobs field will be invaded this weekend by the Nationals.
27. Milwaukee Breweres (13-20)- This power lineup has not fared well against the power conference.
26 Arizona Diamanbacks (13-20)- Not sure where this team is headed but its definitely not the postseason.
As an added bonus the only team with an undefeated record this year is the Oakland A's (3-0). Of course historical data is just one piece of the handicapping you must take into to find a winner.
