The Big 12 is shaping up to be Kansas, and basically everyone else folks. The Jayhawks have been tested on the road and survived a scare at Colorado, beat K State on the road in a big game, dominated Texas on Big Monday this past week, and manhandled their hated rival MIzzou. The depth of Kansas is an issue for any team who plays them, and Aldrige in the paint is a machine on the boards. They have issues at the free throw line, but are clearly the best team in the Big 12, not sure they are the number 1 team in the land though.

Texas is just peeing down their leg at every turn, and apparently were way overrated. Kansas State conitnues to impress and share only 1 loss on the road honors with Kansas, and the Wildcasts also lead the Big 12 in ATS covers at 12-5-1. There are 2 undefeated teams at home in conference, and pay particular attention to this, Kansas and Texas AM, and KU has the longest home winning streak in the country and are beasts at home. There are also 5 teams in the Big 12 with only 1 home loss ansd the worst homecourt record in the Big 12, is Iowa State and Nebraska with 4 losses each, still very respectable.

Big games this week are Mizzou at Baylor and Texas AM at Texas Tech. Kansas and K State both have patsies at home Saturday and will be laying a big number. The value will be in the in between games this weekend which I will be looking at for Saturday action.

Here are the Updated rankings (2-12-2010) to weigh against the Las vegas line. Most teams unless otherwise noted get an added 3 points if playing at home.

Kansas 95 - (add 5 points for homecourt)

Kansas State 89

Texas 87

Missouri 83 - (add 4 points for homecourt with Mizzou)

Baylor 81

Texas AM 79

Oklahoma State 77

Texas Tech 75

Oklahoma 73

Iowa State 70

Colorado 69 - (add 4 points for homecourt with the Buffs)

Nebraska 67

Best of Luck this weekend, My MO Valley and Big 12 games. Check out my action as I have cashed in 5 out of the last 6 Saturdays in NCAA Hoops!! On a Monster run in the NBA.
