The Mets are 6-2 in Harvey's last 8 starts. For the Cubs, they are 2-6 in Jackson's last 8 starts. Edwin is posting a 6.02 ERA on the season allowing 48 hits in 32 innings and issuing 20 walks. Taking the ORIOLES here. I think we will see some runs on put up here, and I think the O's will be doing most of the damage. Hellboy has a 7.02 ERA his last 3 outings in a little over 16 innings. TB is 0-8 in Hellickson's last 8 road starts and 2-7 their last 9 as underdogs. Orioles have won 6 straight with Hammel's on the hill and are 6-2 their last 8 when listed as favorites. Taking the WHITE SOX here. Will back Chris Sale here. This guy just has the Angels number. He has a .55 ERA in 16.1 innings while striking out 16. In 56+ innings, Sale has K'ed 49 while allowing just 41 hits with hitters batting .204 against. He also has a WHIP of just .94 ~ I rarely throw out WHIPs, but a sub 1 WHIP is outstanding. Opinion ~ As much as a beast Wainwright has been, he is just 1-3 7.90 in 27 innings facing the Mets. Neise 2-1 1.83 in 19.2 innings facing the Cards. At this price, worth a small opinion.

Taking SEATTLE here. Third day in a row with these guys. Pettite 1-2 6.35 ERA his last 4 starts. Again, this NYY has over-achieved greatly so far. I know they have Granderson back, but this line-up is still a patch-work group. Seattle erupted last night as expected and if the bullpen didn't blow the lead on Tuesday, they would be going for the sweep here. As bad as Harang was early, he has turned it around with back to back quality starts and is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in those 2 outings. At this price, and recent trends of the pitchers, we will grab the dogs here. 4* MONEY-MAKER Seattle Mariners

Taking the TIGERS here. Will grab Verlander here as a pick. I know that Darvish has been great this year, but Verlander, prior to his last start had been even better. Verlander is also 7-2 2.02 ERA in 72 innings vs Texas. I think the Tigers are a bit better offensively than the Rangers here and in a game that should be low scoring, I will grab Detroit. 4* MONEY-MAKER Detroit Tigers

Taking the PADRES here. Yeah. Taking this ugly dog. I know. Oh Strasburg. But the youngster has not pitched well lately. 0-5 with a 5.32 ERA over that span. Volquez is 3-0, 2.49 in his last four starts turning it around after a poor start. 4* MONEY-MAKER San Diego Padres

Taking the MARINERS here. Had these guys last night and the bullpen let us down. I will come back here with Ikakuma going. The guy has been lights on this season posting 1.74 ERA in 51.2 innings with teams hitting .167 against him. He also has 51Ks and just 8 walks. Going back to last years All-Star break, he has the 2nd best ERA in the AL at 2.22. I am not sold on Hughes at all. 4* MONEY-MAKER Seattle Mariners

Taking the MARINERS here. Will gladly grab King Felix as an underdog. Here we get the Yanks off a double-header on their off day. They have scratched and clawed their way to first place with a patch-work offense. I know CC is on the hill tonight, but there are really only a few pitchers who command his respect. Hernandez is one of those guys, and while CC is on the other side of the hill, Felix is a the top or at least looking down on CC. Hernandez 8-5 3.08 ERA vs NYY career. Not sexy, but let's think about some of the teams he has pitched on here for Seattle. In NY, Hernandez has shined. 4-1 1.13 ERA in 5 starts. Yes CC is 8-0 his last 8 starts vs the Mariners, But Felix is 8-2 his last 10 vs NYY. We will grab the small dog here in Felix. 4* MONEY-MAKER Seattle Mariners

Taking the BREWERS here. I can buy the Pirates and their winning ways. They played well most of last season. But I am not buying Locke on the mound tonight. The kid has given up 19 walks in 39 innings and only 22Ks. I am just not sold on him. Lohse on the other hand is a proven guy. 9-2 3.42 career vs Pirates in 102.2 innings. He doesn't have the wins this year, but he has a respectable 3.52 ERA. Brewers are 2-5 when he pitches but have scored a total of 3 runs those losses. You won't win many games scoring 0 or half a run. Brewers a perfect 5-0 last 5 trips into Pitt. 8* SURE SHOT Milwaukee Brewers

Taking the ROYALS here. Will grab Guthrie here. The guy is undefeated in 18 straight starts! 5-0 with a 2.28 ERA to start 2013. They are 10-2 his last 12 as underdogs and 16-5 his last 21.
