**FIRST OF OCTOBER** RUN-LINE VIOLATOR! (9-2 IN SEPTEMBER!)
Tampa Bay vs. Oakland,

Score: 5 - 1
Point Spread: +1½/-170 Tampa Bay
I'm playing on TAMPA on the RUN-LINE (+1.5 runs) While I like the Rays to win this one outright, I also feel that the extra +1.5 runs could well come in handy. Indeed, runs are likely to be at a premium in this one, which makes every extra run that much more valuable. I'm not surprised to see Manea get the call as he's pitched very well. He's only made one start against Tampa the past couple of seasons though and it didn't go well. In five innings, he allowed four runs, losing 6-0. On the other hand, Morton (16-6) has always pitched well (2.97 ERA) against the A's and he's owned Oakland this season. In two starts against the A's this season, he's got a 0.68 ERA. A look at Morton's last four starts against the A's shows that he allowed 1, 0, 3 and 1 earned runs. His team only won one of those four games though. The other three? All one run-losses. In other words, one would be 4-0 (instead of 1-3) if getting an extra +1.5 runs in Morton's last four against Oakland. Thats the way I'm going.
